About the Game
Witchfire, a dark fantasy game with a blend of gunfire action, introduces players to a first-person shooter experience created by the masterminds behind Painkiller and Bulletstorm. This unique game combines elements of soul-like challenge, extraction mechanics, and roguelike gameplay, ensuring players are in for an exciting and satisfying gaming adventure with various paths to victory.
The story unfolds in a world at war with witches, where the Church resorts to forbidden pagan magic to transform willing sinners into immortal witch hunters, known as "preyers." Armed with potent spells and formidable firearms crafted by Vatican sorcerers, your mission is to track down the notorious witch of the Black Sea, vanquish her otherworldly army, and recover a mysterious artifact that could shift the tides of this relentless battle.
Witchfire offers an immersive dark fantasy world, brought to life using photogrammetry technology, much like The Astronauts' previous title, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. This technology ensures striking visuals and a captivating, somber atmosphere that draws players into the game's intricate narrative.
