"Remnant 2" is a third-person shooter action role-playing game developed by Gunfire Games and published by Gearbox Publishing. It serves as the sequel to "Remnant: From the Ashes" and was released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S in July 2023. Initially, it garnered positive reviews from critics and achieved a sales milestone of over 1 million units within its first week post-launch.

Gameplay-wise, "Remnant 2" retains the third-person shooter style inspired by Souls like games. Players can wield up to two guns alongside a melee weapon. At the game's outset, players can choose from different character archetypes. For example, the Gunslinger class, which replaces the Ex-cultist class from the first installment, centers on the use of firearms. The Challenger class features the ability to release a shockwave that annihilates enemies, while the Handler class comes with a dog companion that supports in combat. Advancing through the game allows players to gain the capability of dual-classing, activating various archetype-specific perks and skills. The Gunslinger's unique ability, "Loaded," instantly reloads all firearms the character carries, whereas the Handler class's key perk, "Bonded," permits their dog companion to revive the character if they fall in combat.

"Remnant 2" expands upon the procedural generation used in the first game, significantly enhancing it. The changes involve randomizing enemy types, the aesthetics of regions, boss characters, non-playable characters, storyline, and quests. While the game can be played entirely solo, it also features a cooperative multiplayer mode for up to three players.
