About the Game
Gameplay in this title involves a first-person perspective where the playable character, Jack, demonstrates remarkable agility, navigating hazardous environments through dashes, jumps, wall-runs, and slides. He also employs a grappling hook to swing through the environment and can activate "Sensory Boost," briefly slowing time to maneuver mid-air. To manage these actions, a stamina meter determines the frequency of dashes and the ability to deflect attacks. While Jack wields a sword as the primary weapon, he also possesses special abilities useful in both combat and puzzle-solving. For example, the "Shuriken" ability allows Jack to hurl electrical stars, stunning enemies and activating distant switches. Health is extremely limited for both Jack and adversaries, resulting in potential one-hit kills.
The game revolves around Jack's mission to confront a violent cyber ninja AI cult outside the Dharma Tower. Ghostrunner 2 introduces vehicular combat, featuring levels where Jack rides a motorcycle, engaging enemies and navigating obstacles. Levels offer non-linear exploration, enabling players to strategize routes before facing enemies. Progression unlocks upgrades to augment Jack's abilities, though the motorcycle remains unmodifiable.
